The access to resources through the student portal and a recording of the training is really helpful to revisit in your own time to properly digest all the information. Really great information. It was a helpful introductory course and highlighted some key issues that we will need to address at my workplace. I did find that some of the information was more tailored towards support workers, where as I manage a small team of OT's and we don't have any administration/HR support. However, Sonia did mention the different audiences and that things would need to be adapted.

Hi Sian I have self taught the zones of regulation, structure of the day on the fridge at home, for autistic kids, parents paying attention to the improvements that their child is making, not too much focus on the "bad" stuff etc. I have found that I spend a lot of time with parents talking to them about parenting (nicely !!) Todays seminar was excellent and is what I was after. Some particular great examples of the interventions that you use when working with these people. I will re watch the video.
